With show season in full swing and my rear arches looking more sorry than ever we headed over the hill to Manchester for the latest installment of Fitted UK. Shout out to the lads in EK Civic's we convoyed in from the motorway with, always great to meet a customer in person too. Less honourable mention to the NCP for being full of thieves in all senses of the word...
Fitted's city centre venue is one of the big features and the spectacle of hundreds of cool cars cruising around Deansgate certainly didn't disappoint despite Manchester's standard issue blanket of rain. The organisers had clearly improved on last year's edition by arranging an array of food and drink vendors meaning everyone could stay cosy inside the halls, and the logistical planning that went into displaying the cars was impressive, without needing to compare it to any other recent events in the show calendar, lol. Anyway, at this point you've probably already read everything else I could write here on a much more popular website so I'll let the photos do most of the rest.
While I can certainly see why Liberty Walk are a very 'Marmite' company in their approach to bodywork, it's very difficult not to like the Super Silhouette inspired kits in the flesh. They're just the right amount of historical reference and bonkers aggressive-ness. Although I doubt this Auto Finesse demo car is going to see quite the same level of use and abuse as Kato-sans 4 rotor powered monster somehow!
Selbachs on German cars always look soooo good. Let us know if you're interested in a set of wheels like these, we can source direct from Japanese market for very reasonable rates.
Very strong Belgian showing this year, loved the bodywork touches on this MK2.
Wait long enough and everything becomes retro cool again, even this utterly Max Power Renault 5... maybe? Can't deny it stood out massively amongst a tonne of arguably cooler cars if nothing else.
